We search for stones. That's the hardest part. Stones are good at hiding. They hide and they wait. That's easy for stones — time is on their side. We find them in rivers, rolling around. Some stones hide in attics and some in plain sight, disguised as the floor of an old grand hotel. And when we do find them, we try to find out what the stone wants to be. Then it begins. One by one, they start a new life. As objects you can look at, pieces you can play around with, and most of all, things that stay with you forever. That's easy for the stones — time is on their side.
